Mario Puzo (screenplay), Francis Ford Coppola (screenplay) ‘Don’s godfather, Vito Corleone, is the head of the Corleone crime family in New York. He’s at his daughter’s wedding. Michael, Vit’s youngest son and a decorated WWII Marine, is also at the wedding. Michael does not seem to be interested in being part of the family business. Vito is a powerful man and is good to all who respect him, but he is merciless to those who do not respect him. But when a powerful and treacherous competitor wants to sell drugs and needs Don’s influence to do so, Vito refuses to do so. Following this is a conflict between old Vit values that disappear and new ways that can force Michael to do what he most doubted and can wage a mob war against all the other plowed families that can divide the Corleone family.
