Report 1 year ago 6. A 7 year age difference is not a lot - it's not like it's a 70 year gap. Report 1 year ago 7. Original post by Jodi Barnett Hi, I am 18 however i have met this guy from work and we have since spoken outside of work and he told me he likes me and can see us being together the only problem is he is 25 which means he is 7 years older than me but I see myself as a mature 18 year old I just dont know what to do.

Report 1 year ago 8. Did you meet for the first time on Raglan road by any chance, on an autumn's day? If so, maybe steer clear. Report 1 year ago 9. The fact you're dating a guy who is 25 shows you ain't mature. Report 1 year ago Thats not a prolem at all. Download from Apple or Google Play. I know a woman who dates an older man, and he jumps from profession to profession while trying to make a career in music take off. Early on I used to have a fit every week about what he could do to make more time for me, but at a certain point, after some compromising, you end up just trying to be supportive and patient.

Especially if those things are free. Like I said, if you allow it, things can get pretty dull. While I love me some him, my partner has no problem with chilling indoors all day, catching up on his taped shows and eating the same rice dish every week. Feel free to encourage an opportunity for the both of you to cook together. Go for walks when the weather permits.

Finally, I started to have deeper feelings for him, but I was worried, like you, about the age gap and in my case about ruining a great friendship. We joined a coed softball league, and in the first game I got nailed in the face by a grounder.

I'd never played before, and he'd had to really convince me to join this team. So after that, he joked that he thought he'd never see me again! But I came back, and we started dating during the season. This July will be our 8 year anniversary. I'm not saying you're gonna marry this guy, buy an age gap doesn't have to be a big deal if it feels good and you have a lot in common.

But it really depends on your personal situation and where you and he want your lives to go. But no harm in meeting the guy and getting to know him and finding those things out. Do what makes you happy. Its completely down the individual 10 years would be my limit at 40, 7 is kinda perfect for me but of course the older you get the less of an issue it becomes. I teach high school and I recognize too many lingering characteristics that remind me of my kids.

    Main Rules

I'm dating someone 7 years younger and it's the happiest and most stable relationship I've had. I've dated people both significantly younger and older than me and tbh my older partners were very set in their ways and often I felt like I was just a trophy. I like younger people because they can be more open minded sometimes and open to new experiences.

People can be mature or immature regardless of their age. The other way around: I wouldn't date a woman seven years my senior. Nope, not attracted to forty year olds. No, but I don't look down on anyone who does. It's just not my thing.
