Grand Theft Auto V is a 2013 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and released by Rockstar Games. It is the first major entry into the Grand Theft Auto series since Grand Theft Auto IV 2008. Set in the fictional state of San Andreas based in Southern California, the story of a single player follows three criminals and their efforts to commit robberies under pressure from government agencies and powerful criminals. The open world design allows players to roam freely in the open area of San Andreas and the fictional city of Los Santos, based in Los Angeles.
The game is played from the perspective of a third person or the first person, and your world moves on foot or by vehicle. Players control the three main actors during a single player and switch between them, during and outside missions. The story focuses on heistic sequences, and many missions involve shooting and leading the game. The “wanted” system manages the aggressive reactions of the law towards players who commit crimes. Grand Theft Auto Online, a multiple online mode, allows 30 players to participate in a variety of collaboration and competitive play modes.

It was released in September 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, in November 2014 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in April 2015 for Microsoft Windows.
