Everybody is different and deals with breakups differently, so they can mind their own business. This is the only true answer. It all depends, like it always does. If you feel it, don't stop yourself out of principle. If you don't feel it, don't force it. It's as simple as that. There's a big difference in getting over three months versus three years. I've had friends that have long term relationships start the day after they get out of their previous LTR, and some of those friends seem like they're marriage bound. There really isn't a usual amount of time. My ex broke up with me 4 days before Christmas and i'm still single, i date around because i'm good at it and i enjoy the attention, but i don't think i'm ready for something serious. I want to note though that all the girls I slept with after the breakup were fully aware that it was a casual thing and were on board. When do you bring up that you are just casually dating? During the first date? Just before you're taking her clothes off?

Usually pretty soon after starting to talk to them and before any kind of a date. I wanted everyone to be on the same page so I wasn't wasting their time if they were looking for more. The topic of "what are you looking for" always seemed to come up pretty quickly when I would start talking with a girl. I also didn't really "date" so much as meet up for a couple drinks and then hook up.

As far as casual goes, I don't think there's really a time limit. It very much depends on how you're feeling. If you want to have some fun, you should go for it when you're ready. For me, I probably went on tinder dates about weeks after my last big relationship.

It's been about 10 months now and I have no interest in anything serious, and I have no rush to get into anything serious. You have to be ready to get hurt again.
